Coron | Busuanga Islands

Coron, Busuanga islands are one of the best islands in the Philippines with its gorgeous beaches, corals and marine life.Since I love nature and beaches (though I'm not a good swimmer) :(  We are very eager to kick start the day as we want to place our feet on those turquoise water and white sand.

Our boat used on our island hopping
Our package is for 4 days and 3 nights that we booked at www.coronpackagetour.com We can personalized the itinerary or choose from the  two package options. First, is the Coron Loop tour or Coron Banana Island Tour. (Click the link for more details of the tours) We opted to chose Coron Banana Island since we heard that those island included in the package were a must see at Coron. What's good in getting a tour package is that everything is ready for you. The inclusions in all package were room accommodation (air-conditioned), round trip transfer via van from Busuanga airport to resort and vice -versa, island bout tour, lunch during boat tour, breakfast on selected lodgings only, tour assistance/guide, life vests usage and transportation to Maquinit hot spring, with all these inclusions I think its a  reasonable price and a good deal.

First stop we went to our jump-off point, the port. There, we will meet again our tour guide as well as the boat that we will use, with regards to the boat, it is not guaranteed that it will be exclusive especially when going to far islands like Banana island, Malcapuya and Bulog Dos, they might join you in other group unless you will book it exclusively but when we had our Coron Loop tour the boat is exclusive to us since those islands are not that far.

One of the limestone cliffs that can be seen at Coron, Busuanga Island
You will be amazed by all the rock formations and limestone cliffs that can be seen everywhere.

These were the islands and beaches we visited on our 2nd day, Siete Picados, Kayangan Lake, Sunshine Beach, Twin Lagoon, Barracuda Lake, Skeleton shipwreck and CYC Beach. On our  3rd day we went to Banana Island, Malcapuya and Bulog Dos.

These are some of the photos of the limestone cliffs, islands and beaches.

On our way to Twin Lagoon

Just a reminder that if your going for a boat tour make sure that you brought a water proof bag or anything that will make your things safe from the splash of water especially to your gadgets. If you have underwater camera, bring it because you don't want to miss to take a photo of the sunken ship (skeleton ship wreck), colourful corals and hundred of fishes that will pass your way when you do your snorkeling.

Pathway going to Barracuda Lake. It's a bit steep so mind your step.

Swimming and snorkeling with everyone

Perfect!!! Love the water...

Snorkeling with other tourist who came in...

In case you got hungry during your island tour, no need to worry since lunch were included. Our tour guide already brought some food then on lunch time we stop in one of the islands to have our lunch. The tour guide will cook the food and prepare everything, so while waiting you can enjoy taking photos and playing in the sand with your love ones.

This photo was taken at Malcapuya beach. Love all the food that they serve, everything is fresh. And I may say our tour guide is a good cook as well.... 2 thumbs up for you Ate! =)

After our lunch it's time for siesta. A quick nap under the trees or in the cottage, then its time for snorkeling again. If you don't have you own snorkel you can rent to the tour guide, I think it ranges from 150-200 each but since I brought my own snorkel, it saves me money and more hygienic as well. Our tour guide gave us a bread, I wondered why because we just had our lunch. They said, "feed it to the fish so that they will come to you and it's easy to take photo with them as well". And it was really an amazing feeling to be that close to different kinds of fish. Really fun!

Were just enjoying the feel of  the water and sand coming at our feet

After lunch, enjoy the water with your love ones

Loads of fish surrounding us. You can see it clearly with these clear water.
They starting to come at me... Scary, because most of the fish is really massive yet excited at the time...

Love this huge tree when we had lunch at Sunshine Beach
You shouldn't miss to take a photo at the famous Kayangan Lake

I really had fun during my stay at Coron. Not as crowded as other tourist spots and beaches. It's really a nice place to relax and bond with the family, friends and love ones. I will definitely comeback. See you again Coron and Busuanga Islands!!!
